Department of Education Assistant Secretary Frank Brogan Becomes Council Chair for 2019




Representatives from our Council convened on December 17 and ED Assistant Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education Frank Brogan accepted the nomination to serve as Council Chair for 2019. We are looking forward to working with Assistant Secretary Brogan over the coming year!
Leadership also discussed how federal agencies continue to use and respond to key data collected on homelessness, including HUD's Point-in-Time count and ED's Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program data, to drive decisions and actions.  




HUD Announces FY2018 Continuum of Care Renewal Funding



  

HUD announced nearly $2 billion in grants to renew existing CoC projects. The grants will help end homelessness and provide critically needed support to local programs.




Applications For SSVF Funding Due February 22  



  
The VA announced the availability of funding for providers that serve Veterans through it's Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program.
