Date:  Wednesday, November 14 2018
You can register (first come first served) at no cost by using the link above. This one hour   interactive presentation provides an introduction to Housing First and includes a special focus on assertive engagement.

HOUSING FIRST: from exclusion to inclusion
This webinar will describe the Pathways Housing First (PHF) program, an evidence-based practice for individuals with complex needs who are homeless.

Why does Housing First succeed where other programs have failed?
Is it because:
1) It operates with a housing as human right approach;
2) it provides immediate access to a safe, decent affordable apartment; or
3) because you don't have to hide your beer under the couch when the case manager visits.

The PHF program will be explained by its founder and this presentation will feature an emphasis on assertive engagement in the context of consumer choice.
Presenters:
Sam Tsemberis, PHD, Pathways Housing First
Niki Novak, LFMT, LPC, Pathways to Housing First DC
Christy Repress, MSW, Pathways to Housing First DC
