New Coordinated Entry Management and Data Guide Available for CoCs

HUD announces the release of a new product to support Continuums of Care (CoCs) in their implementation of coordinated entry (CE) processes. Managing and evaluating a CE process requires careful attention to data elements, client privacy, and system security. This CE guide assists CoCs in navigating the complexities of CE system management. The CE Management and Data Guide expands on previous HUD policy and management guidance and provides a deeper discussion of CE management roles and responsibilities, data privacy and security requirements, CE functionality considerations for HMIS and other data systems, and how to collect and use CE data for evaluation. By looking at how the component parts of a system function together, a CoC can begin to understand whether the pathways and service strategies it has created for participants are effective and efficiently result in crisis resolution.
