Up to $5 Million Available to Establish a Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information Related to Mental and Substance Use Disorders

SAMHSA is accepting applications for funding to create a Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information Related to Mental and Substance Use Disorders. The purpose of this program is to establish one national center of excellence to develop and disseminate materials on privacy laws and regulations. SAMHSA plans to issue up to $5 million for the program by funding one grantee up to $1 million per year for up to 5 years. The application due date is August 17, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).

Up to $3.75 Million Available to Enhance Training Efforts to Address Eating Disorders

SAMHSA is accepting applications for funding to create a Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders. The purpose is to establish a national hub for developing and disseminating training and technical assistance for healthcare practitioners about eating disorders. Addressing and treating eating disorders is a critical component of mental health care. SAMHSA plans to issue one grant of $750,000 per year for 5 years. The application due date is August 17, 2018 by 11:59 p.m. (ET).
