United Way of Central Maryland Community Response Grants

Hi all,
Please see information below regarding available funding for urgent, unexpected or emergency needs through the United Way’s Community Response Grant Program.  This grant was formerly announced quarterly with deadlines to apply for funds, but UW has changed the grant process to allow for rolling grants, so you can apply at any time.  No funds have been requested to date this fiscal year, so there is funding available.  Please remember, this is not regular operating money – you will need to document/explain how your need for funding is urgent, unexpected or an emergency.  Please see the message below from United Way which briefly explains the eligibility for funding and grant request process.

Message from United Way:

Since we had a late start due to the changes in the grant process and new on-line application platform, several Boards still have CRG money available for this fiscal year. Here is the information on the Community Response Grants (CRGs). Please forward this information to your networks.

United Way of Central Maryland’s Community Response Grant application is an opportunity for non-profit health and human service organizations to request United Way support for urgent, unexpected or emergency organizational needs.   To be eligible, organizations must provide services/supports that target and reach residents who are at 300% of federal poverty level or below, in Baltimore City and/or Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford or Howard counties.

Community Response Grant applications may be submitted at any time,  so that organizations do not have to wait for annual or quarterly grant cycles to have their urgent, unexpected or emergency needs considered.  Information about the application and access to our grant portal, can be found on our website through this link: http://www.uwcm.org/main/nonprofit-funding/
