For the first time ever, this January, the SAMHSA SOAR TA Center offered a competitive technical assistance opportunity to criminal justice organizations.
Twenty-nine organizations inquired about the opportunity, 17 submitted complete applications, and through a very competitive review process, the SOAR TA Center identified 6 organizations to receive the technical assistance package.

- Elgin Police Department, Elgin, Illinois
With the assistance of the SOAR TA Center, each awardee will receive an on-site planning meeting, a spot at a SOAR Leadership Academy, support through the SOAR Online Course and tracking outcomes through the Online Application Tracking (OAT) system. Thank you to all of the organizations that applied—your dedication to expanding SOAR within agencies, facilities and court systems to address the needs of people that are involved in the justice system is inspiring.
