New HUD and Federal Partners Reports Update
The new HUD CoC APR Provider Report is now available in ServicePoint 5.12.38.
  • Beginning on April 1, 2017 grantees will no longer submit APRs in e-snaps and will begin using a new system called Sage.
  • Recipients will be required to upload CSV data from their HMIS to fulfill the APR reporting requirement in Sage and ServicePoint will support the CSV requirement for the APR report. This will be a “download" option after you've run the new Provider (canned) CoC APR report in ServicePoint.
  • Per HUD request, the 0625 APR report will remain in the ART Gallery until 7/1/2017. If a grantee is working on an APR in e-snaps that was started prior to April 1, 2017 they will need to be complete it prior to removal of the “old” APR on 7/1/2017. To accommodate customer requests, the 0631 APR Detail will remain in the ART Gallery until 10/1/2017. Please remember the logic between the “old” and “new” APR reports varies greatly and while both reports will exist simultaneously, their numbers are not meant to be compared and are expected vary.
  • There are a few known outstanding minor defects that we will work to resolve by the end of next week.
  • You may receive a data quality check error in Sage stating that the ”total in Q8A must equal the sum of adult heads of household plus child and unknown-age heads of household in Q5A”. This is likely due to missing data for the Relationship to Head of Household field. We recommend you click on the “Error Count” link for this field in section 6b of the report to view clients that need to be corrected, and correct the data accordingly.

The new Annual PATH Report is now available in ServicePoint 5.12.38.
The new 0640 HUD Data Quality Framework v1 report will be placed into the auto-mapper for release on the morning of April 1, 2017.
  • This is a new report required by HUD for all CoCs. Data Quality percentages will be submitted at the same time as the System Performance Measures via the HDX.
  • Per HUD, data screens in the HDX will not be an exact match to the format provided to Vendors in the specifications.
  • Several items need to be completed and will be adjusted and included in v2:
    • Calculations in are not filling in; the HDX will do this for you at submission
    • Annual Assessment Errors
    • Q7 number of incomplete records
  • Please note that on Monday, April 3rd Mediware Staff will review all Customer Sites to ensure that the auto-mapper was successful. If the report is missing, we will run the auto-mapper on for the impacted sites.

SSI Incorporated into Online Disability Application

Effective April 1

No, it's not an April Fools' Day joke, SSI is going to be available as part of SSA's online disability application (iClaim) starting tomorrow, April 1
There are a couple of changes you will notice tomorrow with the release of iClaim enhancements: 
1. Applicants who meet certain criteria will be able to apply for SSI via the iClaim. The iSSI application will be a limited deferred disability application that consists of questions that are common to both the SSDI application (SSA-16) and the SSI deferred application (SSA-8001). For this release, iSSI will only be available for claimants who meet the following criteria:
  • Allege disability, but not blindness;
  • Age 18 through 64;
  • Never married; 
  • U.S. Citizens and residents of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; and
  • Do not have a pending SSI claim.
SSA plans to expand the population who can file for SSI online in future updates. Claimants who do not meet these criteria will still be able to express an intent to file for SSI; however, they will not be able to file for SSI online. 
2. Applicants will no longer be able to initiate an online disability application using the Spanish iClaim. All iClaim applicants will enter through the English application and will have a choice of selecting the language they prefer. Those who prefer to communicate in a language other than English will be given the choice of:
  • Scheduling an application interview in their preferred language using iAppointment;
  • Continuing their application in English; or
  • Contacting SSA directly by calling 1-800-772-1213.
3. Applicants who do not meet the criteria to complete the iSSI application will be directed to schedule a telephone or in-person appointment at SSA using iAppointment.
  • If iAppointment is not available for the applicant, a message will appear that directs the applicant to contact SSA.
  • Note that applicants who are banned from entering a Social Security Office for any reason will not receive the iAppointment option.
