Register for the webinar » review a new supportive housing self assessment tool CSH, with the help of The Urban Institute, is developing a Supportive Housing Self-Assessment Tool to assess the organizational capacity of supportive housing providers. This tool examines the organizational attributes of organizations — and their communities — that are currently or wish to become involved in permanent supportive housing as developers, property managers, scattered-site housing managers or service providers. Review the tool » from the blog Ending Homelessness Today the official blog of the national alliance to end homelessness Using Home Investment Partnerships Program Funds to Support Rapid Re-Housing by Jen Saunders The Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) program is the largest federal block grant available to state and local governments to create affordable housing. HOME TBRA is a good source of funding for RRH. Households must make less than 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI) to be eligible and can receive up to two years of assistance. Households must contribute 30 percent of their income toward their rent. Jurisdictions are limited as to the amount of HOME dollars they are allowed to use for TBRA. The program is broadly available — 99 percent of the nation’s counties receiving CSBG funding! The grants fund services that address the needs of low-income people and communities. The CSBG is an often-overlooked resource that can support RRH activities.
