Lou Tisler has stepped down after 11 years as executive director of Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) of Greater Cleveland to join the National Community Reinvestment Coalition as director of its housing counseling network. Michael Pires, currently the deputy director of NHS Cleveland, will serve as interim executive director.

The report measures the availability of rental housing affordable to extremely low-income households and other income groups nationwide.

bcWORKSHOP and Housing Assistance Council are co-sponsoring a rural placemaking initiative with grants available to two rural communities in the U.S. with populations under 50,000. Successful applicants will receive up to $7,500 to support the development of an arts and community building project in their town. Applications due March 10.
