A Way home america releases plan to end youth homelessness
A Way Home America has released a transition plan for the next presidential administration, calling for an end to youth homelessness. Here's how we can meet this goal by 2020:
1. Make a commitment to prevent & end youth homelessness
2. Prevent homelessness among youth & young adults
3. Help youth & young adults who become homeless find safe and stable housing quickly and transition to independence

webinar: Begin planning for the 2017 Point-in-time count

Unsheltered Point-in-Time (PIT) counts can be challenging. Communities may not know where to find members of this population. We will highlight two communities that have planned and implemented successful unsheltered PIT counts. In addition, William Snow of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide up-to-date guidance on expectations and resources.

Alliance job opening on capacity building team
The Alliance is hiring a Senior Technical Assistance Specialist to help communities implement policies and practices that are demonstrated to prevent and end homelessness. The Senior Technical Assistance Specialist will provide communities with training and technical assistance in: implementing interventions; improving local crisis systems; and focusing on data and performance.
