IMMEDIATE GRANT OPPORTUNITY - Permanent Supportive Housing Program

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT NOTICE:  BALTIMORE COUNTY IS SEEKING A VENDOR FOR THE OPERATION OF A PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING PROGRAM FOR WOMEN

For the past 5 years, the YWCA Greater Baltimore has partnered with the County to provide Permanent Supportive Housing to chronically homeless women in southwestern Baltimore County.  Using federal funds, the building, once known as the Eleanor D. Corner House Shelter, was renovated to provide 13 efficiency apartments, along with a common living room, a laundry room and a staff office.

Unfortunately, the YWCA has advised the County that they are no longer in a position to operate the Permanent Supportive Housing Program, and therefore, do not wish to renew their grant agreement.  As a result, the County is interested in seeking a new provider to acquire the facility and to continue the operation of the program.

An informational meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the Baltimore County Planning Office, 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue, Hearing Room 104 (1stFloor), Towson, Maryland 21204.  We encourage all agencies and organizations interested in learning about this opportunity to  attend this meeting.
