New rapid re-housing standards
When it comes to increasing the effectiveness of your rapid re-housing efforts, look no further than the new Rapid Re-Housing Performance Benchmarks and Program Standards.  They were released by the Alliance last week at the National Conference on Ending Family and Youth Homelessness in Oakland, California.

This new guidance, endorsed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) and Abt Associates, focuses on and highlights the three core components of rapid re-housing, and the most promising practices for building and supporting a successful program.

So whether you are looking to improve your current initiatives or seeking guidance on how to launch a solid program, the new Rapid Re-Housing Performance Benchmarks and Program Standards will help you get there.

Interactive Map Explores Homelessness in Top Metro Areas
How many homeless people live in the nation’s largest metropolitan areas?

Continuums of Care (CoCs) don’t always align with city or county boundaries, and Metropolitan Statistical Areas (as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget) tend to include the areas that surround cities, such as suburbs or other cities. So, to better answer this question, we created an interactive map, using metro area boundaries and CoC-level point-in-time count data from 2015.
