VA Announces Availability of $300 Million for Existing SSVF Grantees  
Attention Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) providers. You may be eligible to renew your grant funding.  The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has announced that it will make $300 million in grants available to those working with homeless and at-risk Veteran families. Applicants may apply online via its online grants management system.  Only existing SSVF providers with renewal grants are eligible. All application materials must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on February 5, 2016.

  • The 2016 National Conference on Ending Family and Youth Homelessness is almost full but there are still a few spots left.  Make sure you aren’t left out!  The late registration fee of $650 per person applies. Register today.
 
  • Need to cancel your registration? Those received in writing by Friday, January 22 will only incur a $25 cancellation fee; after that, an additional $100 processing fee will apply.  No refunds will be given after Tuesday, February 2.
 
  • Interested in showcasing your organization or personal work to those attending the conference? Information tables are still available for purchase. Contact David Dirks at 202-942-8287. Deadline is Monday, January 25.

SSVF Grant Funding Brings New Opportunities

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently announced that it will make $300 million in competitive grant funding available for nonprofits renewing their SSVF grants to work with homeless and at-risk Veterans and their families. Several pieces of the announcement highlight opportunities for providers to improve the services they offer to program participants, and ways to enhance their program's effectiveness and reach.
