Save the Date: NDRC Phase 2 NOFA-Specific and Topical Webinar Series On Monday June 22, 2015, successful National Disaster Resilience Competition (NDRC) Phase 1 applicants were invited to submit a Phase 2 proposal for a project(s) to implement based on their Phase 1 framing and idea. The deadline for Phase 2 applications is October 27, 2015. To assist in this effort, HUD is again offering a series of technical and topical webinars to discuss NDRC Phase 2 NOFA requirements, address NDRC NOFA questions, and continue the climate resilience dialogue. The webinar schedules for NOFA-specific and Topical webinars, respectively, are provided below. NOFA-specific webinars will address Phase 2 NOFA requirements. Topical webinars are intended for a broad audience of communities as well as Phase 2 applicants and describe best practices and innovative tools that further investments in resilience. NDRC NOFA-Specific Webinars The following group of webinars will have a specific focus on the NDRC NOFA requirements, such as Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) and linking Need and Soundness of Approach. These webinars are meant for NDRC Eligible Phase 2 Applicants. As the application deadline approaches, webinars will focus on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) received in the ResilientRecovery.gov mailbox, requirements for application completeness, and application assembly. Webinars will also address any outstanding questions on BCA and other NOFA requirements. Schedule of NDRC NOFA-Specific Webinar Series Registration for these webinars is not necessary. The NDRC encourages states, regions, and jurisdictions to adopt a diverse, stakeholder-driven, multi-disciplinary approach to ensure that their communities are more resilient to hazards, shocks and the effects of climate change. Through the two-phased process, NDRC seeks not only affect change in how $1 billion in CDBG-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) money is utilized, but help build the capacity of states and local governments to better utilize the billions of dollars in CDBG and other funds that are used to shape communities every day.
