Proof Point: The 2014 Point-in-Time Count Shows that Homelessness Is a Solvable Problem

USICH Executive Director Laura Green Zeilinger provides an overview of the results of the 2014 Point-in-Time-Count of people experiencing homelessness in the United States. In addition to the overall 10 percent decline in homelessness nationwide, family homelessness is down 15 percent, including a 53 percent reduction in families living unsheltered. Chronic homelessness is down 21 percent, and particularly noteworthy are the declines seen among Veterans — down 33 percent overall, unsheltered down 43 percent. Get more analysis.
