Videos of the full speeches made by First Lady Michelle Obama, Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro, and Alliance President and CEO Nan Roman at the Alliance's National Conference on Ending Homelessness are now available for viewing on the Alliance website and the Alliance Youtube channel. This month, stay tuned to the Alliance blog for more video from the conference.




The Alliance has posted a recording of a webinar that originally streamed on July 17, which reviewed national data on rapid re-housing for high-barrier households. In this recording, "Rapid Re-Housing for High-Barrier Households," Alliance Technical Assistance Specialist Kay Moshier McDivitt shares strategies from communities that have successfully re-housed high-barrier households, and discusses the core components of rapid re-housing.
A new bill, The Homeless Children and Youth Act (S.2653), proposes to solve the problem of youth and families with children who are homeless or who lack affordable housing by expanding the definition of homelessness. In this post, we look at what the passage of this bill would mean for youth and families with children who are already eligible for HUD homeless assistance.
